Dick was a great story teller as a lawyer, Heffernan committee member, and friend. It was the story that Cates delivered to the Nixon Impeachment Committee that led to Nixon's resignation. Democrats and Republicans trusted Dick Cates for good reason. His stories were based on facts not fiction.
Hell of a guy. Great lawyer.
