How much will my divorce cost?

Shane Falk discusses the cost of divorce.

The cost of a divorce is the sixty four thousand dollar question. It's one of the first questions clients ask when they come in the door if they haven't already asked it on the phone call. If any attorney tells you that they can say with specificity what your divorce is going to cost you may want to look to another attorney. I can say that it will be several thousand dollars. It sounds like a lot but understand that you're making an investment. It's not a traditional investment, like if you're investing in a mutual fund where you expect a return of twelve percent in good times, but it's an investment to prevent you from losing money in the future, or losing time with your children, and having a good confident council through the divorce process not only will protect you from those things, but also may provide you with a sense of relief, allowing them to help shepherd you through the process.
