Can maintenance be terminated?

Rassa Ahmadi answers questions about maintenance.

Similar to modifying maintenance a party may also seek to terminate maintenance. The grounds for terminating maintenance are a substantial change in financial circumstances such that maintenance is no longer warranted, the party who is receiving the maintenance award has remarried, or died, or there is a reduced ability to pay on the person who is paying the maintenance award.
